Phil 3:7-8 Dave’s Trendy version

I used to think my education, my law-keeping and my pure blooded Jewishness was really valuable, but now because of Jesus, I’ve realized it’s not worth a penny! 
Infact not only that, but everything else this world has to offer, (a good job, pots of money, the latest gadgets, a nice house, watching telly, and the rest), all that stuff is pointless, worthless and useless when you compare it to the most incredible privilege and indescribable value of having Jesus as your friend and master.
Just so you get the point, all that other stuff is like manky manure, smelly dog poo, and a rotting half-eaten corpse at the side of the road, especially if it gets in the way of following Jesus. It’s Him I’m after, nothing else.
